An experience involving Kayla Costley at Kane & Crowell has been profoundly disappointing and has raised serious concerns about the apparent lack of compassion shown toward people already enduring an incredibly painful situation.Being legally capable of doing something does not automatically make it decent, ethical, or morally right—although that distinction may be inconvenient when money is involved. A law degree can explain what someone is permitted to do; it cannot provide the conscience needed to recognize what someone should do.Financial gain and technical victories are temporary. The way people are treated when they are vulnerable is not. Everyone ultimately answers for their choices, whether that accountability comes from professional reputation, personal conscience, or the Maker who cannot be impressed by billable hours. Anyone seeking empathy, humanity, and a meaningful concern for doing the right thing should consider those priorities carefully when choosing legal representation.

I had jack as my lawyer and I would have been just as well off to get a public attorney. He was super nice and respectful but really didnt fight for me. As soon as the DA gave me an offer he pushed for me to accept it making me feel hopeless. That was 2000 that would've been better spent on my fines and fees. Not saying they are a terrible law firm. Just wasnt good for me and expensive.

Exceeded expectations!Estate planning can be daunting. Lots of moving pieces with seemingly incomprehensible language.Angel and her staff erased our apprehension by listening to our wishes, asking us follow-up questions and explaining the process. The resulting plan was comprehensive and addressed all of our goals.Throughout the process, Angel and her team were patient, competent, and professional. They will only hear one side of the story. I thought lawyers were better than that. I guess I'm wrong again! Irreconcilable differences? You mean infidelity on her side! What about the premarital and martial assests that were not equally distributed? Don't get me started!

I felt as confident as I reasonably could through the whole process. We were taking on a relative adoption between caregivers in 3 different states. The day we meet her, Amanda had just attended an in-service with the woman who WROTE the book on TN adoption law. Do you know what a relief that was? Amanda was very organized, attentive, warm, and transparent throughout that 1.5 years. She did a great job of educating me while keeping my expectations grounded. We won complete custody.

I can't recommend Angel and the team at Kane & Crowell enough! We hired Angel to help with some estate planning. We'd kind of assumed it was a one and done exercise but left with a great understanding of how we can actively manage our estate as we move through potential life changes. Very insightful and pragmatic coaching.

Charged $300 dollars just to talk about how much the retainer was going to be? Would have to pay $7500 to actually talk about the case. Didn't even seem interested in what my case was even about.

They wanted $100 for a consult to file a lien. A lien is pretty standard and done regularly. But they would not discuss it at all without the $100 consult. I just needed the cost to file the lien-but they would not tell me that cost without the $100 consult. She made sure to tell me over and over.

As parents of children that are still minors, we wanted to ensure they were taken care of if anything ever happened to both of us, financially and by naming caregivers. This was our first experience working through creating a Trust and Will and Angel Kane was absolutely wonderful to work with. She and her assistant, Janice, were very patient, willing to explain each piece and very responsive. When we had questions, they were always willing to set a meeting and talk through the details to ensure our documents expressed exactly what we wanted them to convey. They were also very flexible in setting dates and times for us to sign, as we traveled over an hour to reach their office. During the signing appointment, Angel took time to ensure we understood what were were signing and when and how the documentation would be utilized. They provided us with electronic copies of everything and printed copies in an organized binder for our records. While setting up legal documents that plan for your estate after you die can be a little overwhelming, Angel and Janice made it a very simple process. It is nice to know that our kids and us are taken care of long into the future and that Angel will be there if our family ever needs her and her expertise.

She has explained everything in great detail every time we have had any questions or concerns. She's always willing to help. She has been exceptional in helping us.
