Overview

Michael Caskey has been licensed to practice law since 2021. Michael graduated from the University of the South at Sewanee in 2013 with a dual major in Theater and English. Part of his undergraduate studies included training abroad at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. In 2017, Michael enrolled in law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville. During his time in law school, Michael clerked for the Tennessee Court of Appeals, practiced as a student attorney for the Advocacy Legal Clinic, and worked as an executive editor on the Tennessee Law Review Journal. Michael graduated in 2020 with honors in the top 15% of his class.

Michael primarily practices in the area of domestic law, including divorces, child custody, terminations of parental rights, adoptions, and juvenile cases involving the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. Michael also has experience in a wider range of civil litigation topics, including contract law, property disputes, fraud recovery, appeals, bankruptcy, and Tennessee Consumer Protection Act cases.

Memberships

Michael lives in Nashville with his wife, Hannah, their son, Simon, and their dog, Earl Grey, who has been Michael’s faithful legal assistant since he started practicing law. Michael’s family are parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church in Nashville. Michael spends his free time sewing clothes for himself and his family.
