He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Nashville School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class. After being admitted to practice in Tennessee, he devoted his practice to defending those accused of crimes.
